A weekend cruise in the charente narrows
A weekend out of the ordinary embarking on the isle of Oléron!
Embark on an authentic old sailing ship, the Lola of Skagen; that is the best way to discover the charm of traditional riggings. Explore the Atlantic coast and the neighboring islands, and discover their maritime heritage.
As the navigation proceeds, you will discover a splendid coastline; after that, you will spend the night in a pretty little port in the Charente narrows or else in the Charente moorings close to one of the splendid beaches lining our islands.
The day after, set anchor at the isle of Aix, where you will nose about and scavenge in a distinctive fishing area... Wild oysters (for sure!) and some scallops (perhaps...) will constitute your midday meal. A coffee in the fortified and car-free village of the isle of Aix, and then you'll cook your fish on board, before going back towards St Denis…
It goes without saying that the kids will eat it up.. So will we!
