3 days / 2 nights on half board
Day 1
Arrival in the evening. You will dine and be lodged in a guest house, a 19th-century Charente dwelling in the midst of vineyards.
Day 2
9:30 A.M.: visit of an artisanal cooperage, where wine barrels are manufactured
11 A.M.: visit on your own of the town of Cognac to discover the 12th-century Saint-Léger church, the château des Valois, where François I was born, the Récollets convent and the "maison de la Lieutenance".
Lunch on your own.
2 P.M.: Visits of the "Espace Découverte en Pays de Cognac" and the Musée des Arts du Cognac", interactive museums telling the tale of the town and its flagship product.
4:30 P.M.: discovery of the "double heating" principle as applied in a distillery.
Dinner and night at the guest house.
Day 3
9:30 A.M.: discovery of a wine-growing property in the company of a wine grower
10:30 A.M.: learning how to sip spirits
12:30 P.M.: lunch in an inn on a farm
Afternoon on your own in Grande Champagne.
